EIDON salus participated as an invited company at the 3rd advanced course on Aesthetic Medicine for Female External Genitals, held in Rome from March 1 to 2, 2024, and organized by the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SIME).
The course aimed to provide scientific and practical foundations for managing alterations in aesthetics and functionality affecting the well-being of this anatomical area. Such alterations are caused by simple aging, the onset of menopause, and certain oncological therapies. These changes lead to alterations in the physiology, function, and aesthetic appearance of the female external genital organs, significantly affecting daily routines and intimate sexual life.
As stated in the course’s scientific rationale: “Aesthetic Medicine for female external genitals enables the development of a preventive and corrective program for this important anatomical area, enhancing both its functional and aesthetic aspects.
Throughout a woman’s life, various changes may occur due to hormonal climate variations, traumatic conditions such as childbirth, surgery, or oncological diseases.
These changes can be both morphological and symptomatic, often identified in the so-called Genitourinary Syndrome. There are also constitutional or genetic conditions that can manifest even at a young age, such as vulvar dysmorphisms like hypertrophic and/or elongated labia minora. All these conditions can cause pain, irritation, discomfort, or psychological issues related to self-esteem if not adequately corrected.”
EIDON salus had the privilege of participating as an invited company thanks to two products used in the female anatomical area, both for functional therapy and aesthetic purposes: Osidra and Lovidra.
The attention of many course participants was mainly drawn to the innovative sublingual absorption of Osidra, which allows the dual molecular weight hyaluronic acid to be fully absorbed, achieving 100% bioavailability.
Dr. Loredana Cavalieri, specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (pictured next to our Area Manager, D. Cianchelli), is conducting an observational study on Osidra with her team.
