FERRIDOL not only introduces exogenous iron, but is able to activate the metabolism of that already present in the body.

About 95% of anemias in pregnancy are iron deficiency anemias. Women need increased iron intake during pregnancy or menstrual cycles. Specifically, during pregnancy, the demand for iron increases as follows:
- for the first three months the iron requirement is equal to 2 mg/day;
- during the second trimester (month 3 to 6) it increases to between 4 and 5 mg/day;
- during the third it goes up to more than 6 mg/day in women with an average weight of 50 kg.
To increase the quantities of iron in our body it’s essential to use food supplements such as FERRIDOL. Often, in fact, the iron intake resulting from the consumption of food is insufficient. This happens because the iron in vegetables, for example, is much more difficult to assimilate than that present in meat. It should be underlined that fish, legumes, dried fruit and dark chocolate also provide the body with a good supply of iron.
The competitive advantage of FERRIDOL lies in the fact that it not only introduces
exogenous iron, but is able to activate the metabolism of that already present in the body thanks to lactoferrin. In FERRIDOL there are therefore 30mg of sweet iron, an iron bisglycinate chelated in amino acids which does not have any contact effect on the gastric mucosa and which is entirely absorbed.
Lastly, FERRIDOL features 240mg of Vitamin C which has the role of facilitating the absorption of iron and Folic Acid, which is very useful during pregnancy.
