LOVIDRA is ideal for women of any age that find themselves struggling with any of the burdens caused by vaginal atrophy and dystrophy (dryness, burning sensation, itchiness, or dyspareunia). It is also adequate for those who simply must confront first signs of the aging of the genitalia like skin decay, thinning of the pubic hair, and the paleness and reduction of elasticity of the tissues.
LOVIDRA is recommended during menopause, both in its most common form and in cases in which its nature and origin is different, but it can be utilized by women of any age who go through discomfort from vaginal dryness or who feel the need for greater natural lubrication.

LOVIDRA contains three different molecular weights (high, medium, and low) of hyaluronic acid with a very high concentration (1.7%) of vitamin E contained in the tocopherol and rice bran oil.
The hyaluronic acid with a high molecular weight can recall large quantities of water while not penetrating the tissues and promoting intensive hydration. The hyaluronic acid with a very low molecular weight is able, however, to penetrate the tissues and promote their repair while regenerating the cells and restoring tone and elasticity to the vaginal epithelium. The hyaluronic acid with a medium molecular weight has both characteristics of the last two, enhancing its effectiveness.
Vitamin E is contained in LOVIDRA in the form of pure tocopherol and aids the nourishment of the vulvar skin and vaginal epithelium. Pure tocopherol also has antioxidant properties that fight free radicals.
Lastly, the rice bran oil has a high content of vitamin E, and hydrates, moisturizes, levigates, and nurtures the skin proficiently without altering its PH level.
Thanks to its composition, rice bran oil is the best ally for skin and mucous membranes: in
addition to oleic acid, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid, rice bran oil also contains gamma oryzanol and mineral salts, which give it very important antioxidant and soothing properties.

Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM)
Vaginal atrophy is a typical condition of menopause caused by the decline in estrogen and the age-related phenomena of natural involution of the urogenital tissues.
Vaginal atrophy is the anatomical cause that causes “vaginal dryness”.
The term “genitourinary syndrome of menopause” was recently coined: it is a term that describes vulvovaginal atrophy but does not imply the pathology. GSM not only includes symptoms resulting from estrogen deficiency, but also those related to the effects of aging or other implications on the bladder and pelvic floor.
This syndrome is frequent in women in physiological menopause, but can also occur in younger women who are subjected to pharmacological therapies or whose menopause is surgically induced. Furthermore, GSM is frequent in women who abuse alcohol, smoke cigarettes or who do not practice regular sexual activity, as the tissues lose their normal elasticity.
This happens because, in the absence of stimulation, the tissues become increasingly delicate and dry until the appearance of microtraumas, abrasions and spontaneous bleeding due to the progressive thinning of the genitals.
In the case of genitourinary syndrome, in addition to the progressive impoverishment of elastic fibers and collagen, there is a significant reduction in the rate of tissue hydration and hyaluronic acid. The vaginal mucosa, the vestibule and the labia minora become thinner and take on a pale color and suffer a significant reduction in vascular support and secretions that contribute to lubrication. Lastly, an increase in vaginal pH (between 5.0 and 7.5) and the growth of bacteria (for example, staphylococcus, group B streptococcus, coliforms) can occur, which can cause vaginitis and cystitis.
